Winter-een-mas Gamer/Geek Fashion Show
On January 28th 2010, Campus Gamers was proud to present their first ever Gamer/Geek Fashion Show in the atrium of Conestoga College. This was an amazing success, and it demonstrated to the students of Conestoga College that its school’s gamer community had their own sense of style. Expected attendance for the event exceeded original expectations with having spectators coming from other schools and outside of the campus to witness it. Clothing labels such as ThinkGeek!, Split Reason, and J!NX sponsored and made 
generous donations of clothes which made the event a success.
The Conestoga club approached a number of models to help out with the event. The majority of people who participated in the show were members of the club, and of the few people who were not members of the club, a majority of them did became members of the club after the 
event. The club even managed to have the school’s student body president dress up as a geek for the day and display her sense of geek-chic fashion. With the assistance of the dance club organizing the music and the drama club’s president acting as a Masters of Ceremonies for the event, the entire school came together to assist the gamer club with this event. Talks are in place about next year’s Gamer/Geek Fashion Show.
