Need more games?

Wake up. It’s time to find out how far you will go to save the one you love.  Well since all those amazing Wii party games are on the out, and we have Natal and Sony’s Motion controller in the works. There are also some amazing games coming out.  Some of these games will have been on your radar already for months and maybe years, but I’m bringing you some of my top picks for games coming out and that you should be paying attention to.

Heavy Rain
Heavy Rain: February 23rd, 2010

Our first game is Heavy Rain, brought to you by the developer, Quantic Dream.  Now wait before you skip to the next game since this isn’t a shooter or an RPG game.  Take a look and be happy that developers are starting to come out with new IP’s and we’re not drowning in a sea of war games about the same thing.
Heavy Rain looks like it will be one of those games that will change the way we play, just like having a cover system from Gears of War has changed third-person shooters.  Being able to control characters in a new way and a change in action pacing will be a welcome change by this writer since I’ve been in a Modern Warfare stay for the past few months.  Even if you’re a hardcore FPS fan, still check this one out and find out how far you will go to save the one you love.

Final Fantasy 13

Final Fantasy 13: March 9th, 2010

All right, you JRPG fans, we’ve been waiting for this for a long time and it’s almost here.  Ever since we first got a glimpse of Snow back in 2006 at E3, we’ve been dying to get a hold of this game.  Final Fantasy XIII has already been released in Japan now for a little over two months but soon it is our turn.
Now, I have been listening to a few complaints about the battle system in a few references back to Final Fantasy XII and whining about the story being like Final Fantasy X, which by the way is one of my favorite stories of the series aside from 7.  But having writer Yoshinori Kitase from Final Fantasy 7 producing and designing means that you know that both the battle system and story will be amazing. And lets face it, no matter how much people will whine and complain, if you’re a fan of the genre, this game has already been pre-ordered.

Red Dead

Red Dead Redemption: April 27th, 2010

His name is John Marston and you really don’t want to get in his way.  Being an outlaw, robbing banks, trains, and killing people he just didn’t like, this is about as close as most of us will get to being Dirty Harry.  Rockstar’s new game Red Dead Redemption looks to be one of those promising Wild West games that I’ve been dreaming about.  Just like we were all drooling over Arkham Asylum when it came out, this gives me the same warm fuzzy feeling in my special area.
If you haven’t looked into this game yet, why?  If you have and you love the wild west, well, you are probably like me and are going out to pre-order this game as soon as you can, and the pre-order bonus that you get is chosen by us the gamers if you go to gamestop.com and select which bonus you want to be available.

Alan Wake

Alan Wake: May 2010

Wake up, Alan.  Have you ever had writers’ block?  Has your wife ever taken you to a nice quiet town to help with your writers’ block when she is kidnapped by a darkness?  What? No?  Oh well, then here’s your chance to do so in Remedy’s Alan Wake.
Described as a psychological action thriller, I’ve been waiting for this game to come out since I first heard of it at E3 in 2005.  Having been taken to a small town to get out of his writers’ block, Alan suddenly finds himself trying to save his wife from a darkness that seems to have come to life from the book that he hasn’t even written yet.  Using light to battle enemies that have taken over the town, will you be able to solve this mystery?  Or is this game just one to sleep on?

New Vegas

Fallout: New Vegas: Fall 2010 Q3/Q4

Well, this game has blown up on the internet this past week, and we don’t know to much about it. It seems, though, that Vegas has survived the nuclear winter with electricity.  Coming again from Bethesda Softworks, Fallout: New Vegas has debuted and is set to come out in Fall 2010.  Playing similar to Fallout 3, but not being connected to the story of Fallout 3, players will be put into the shoes of a courier who was left to die but was saved by a robot named Victor, maybe for the trailer?
Since we don’t know too much about this game yet, there isn’t much to write about, but it is definitely one game to keep a heads up for.

So what games are you excited for? The new Zelda? Gears of War 3? Halo: Reach?  Let us know.
